Sunset Skate at Potters Marsh
For my birthday this year I asked for nordic skates. We first used them last winter and I was quickly hooked on the simple idea of putting a nordic binding on a blade and having the option of easily unclipping and walking then clipping back in and skating. The easy removal is especially helpful when skating on lakes linked with portages such as the Nancy Lake system.
I still had two days before my birthday, but fortunately, Woodsen caved and gave them to me early so we could test them out under the beautiful sunset.
We drove the 2 miles from our house to potters marsh. Hockey skaters, nordic skiers, and nordic skaters were all out enjoying the evening too.
Excited to find other lakes to explore on our new ice skates!
